I love feeding my family incredible food. It really is my favourite thing in the whole world to do — sourcing the best seasonal ingredients, cooking, creating recipes and eating — nothing makes me happier.
If you've read my blog or follow me on Instagram you'll know I have three kids, I'm living the craziness that is family, I really know how busy it can get and so I want to share with you how easy it can be to still feed them simple, delicious, healthy food.
Why make a video? I couldn't think of a better way of showing people that even if someone as disorganised as me can get it together, anyone can! And also now I can share special easy recipes with my family and friends.

I need to thank my special friends and family who helped me put this together Joshua Heath best camera man in the business. Claire Evans producer extraordinaire and her other half David Cannings for piecing this video together. Megan Morton stylist to the stars and my own personal fluffer. Max Doyle my boyfriend / DOP / father of my children. And then the monsters themselves Mima, Frank and Wilco for showing your true colours on the day, hopefully we'll see more of your magic in front of the camera in coming episodes and last but not least my personal cleaner upperer Mazzy. Without all of their expertise this would never have become a reality.

Ooh! I'm quite excited about this! Please tell us about your 48 hour chicken stock (is that what it's called?!) and your fave produce shops in Sydney.
ReplyDeleteIn coming episodes all will be revealed Georgia, promise. x
DeleteThe video is fantastic on every level, visuals, music, words. Lots of great points you make such as what we teach our children about food will stay with them forever. As parents we are laying the foundations for a lifetime of great taste and great health. I wish and hope that more and more people jump on this train. Well done! x
ReplyDeleteGreat video Michelle!! I have also started experimenting with raw/whole food. My husband & I ran an organic cafe 10 years ago. I lost my way a little after we closed it, moved away from organics, moved into the more conventional food world, until about 2 years ago. The resurgence of interest in organics & raw food has pulled me back & I am loving it. I am a huge Megan Morton fan & found you through her Facebook post. So glad I did - I look forward to coming back often to visit your blog!! Thanks. X
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge Megan Morton fan too Marlo! She's quite a lady.
DeleteI'm really happy you like my blog, I feel finally everyone is catching on to buying organic food or the best quality food they can for their own personal budgets. x

DeleteYour blog is so exciting! I got really into "My New Roots", but something similar from an Australian author is so so nice! Congrats, the video is stunning! And those prints *swoon*!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alex, I'm a big fan of 'My New Roots' and I love her little videos too. And I'm really happy you like the prints I will be selling them soon on my 'Wilco ware' online shop (if you don't happen to win them) x

ReplyDeletelets talk cherries after the comp is over Mrs Cohen. x
DeleteIt's freezing in Melbourne today but I am still craving one of those berry icy-poles. Oh my goodness, delicious. My family will go wild for those. And I am a bit excited to have learned how to correctly pronounce your name. I had been following the old adage that if you don't know how to pronounce something say it loud and with confidence and am afraid to say I've been getting it wrong. Not any more!
ReplyDeleteSchoeps (shops) it is Meg, loud and proud and hugely appropriate if you new how much I do shop and wholefoods. And those icy poles - no words! xx
DeleteOh my, that chicken pot looks divine. I adore healthy blogs from real people living real lives (almost as much as the chocoholic in me loves raw cacao) - bookmarked for future reference!! :)
ReplyDeleteA, Chicken in a pot is the next one up - keep watching! x
DeleteLove the video Michelle, I have been following your blog for a little while now - ever since I saw you at "the school" ( nail art) and i spent the day wondering how you looked so amazing youthful when you had a daughter only a year younger than mine! I felt a 100 and 1 that day and I really came to click (finally!) the link between real beauty in people - that fresh skin and bright eyes beauty - and what they eat. So of course that lead me to you blog and over the last couple of weeks I have devoured it - feeling sightly like a stalker - and now I feel ready - so on monday I am moving to an a life of DRAMATICALLY less processed food and sugar and god help me no alcohol ( trying that for 6 weeks!)- so please keep the videos coming because I am planning on visiting often you often when my spirit is weak to guide me thru the next 6 weeks xx Rachael
ReplyDeleteps I have been coveting your photos for a while now - they are just simply beautiful
I got it - twice! Thanks Rachael for taking the time to type this like a hundred times, don't you hate it when the stupid comment won't load?!
DeleteGood luck with the lifestyle change it's always hard at the beginning and I totally think getting rid of all processed foods is the go! xx

I want one! x
ReplyDeleteMichelle I am so excited to have found your blog (thanks Megan Morton x). I try to be be as pure and organic in my eating habits as possible, but with a busy life don't always get time to spend cooking as much as I would like (and I love cooking, I see it as an extension of my love for family and friends). Your chicken pot looks amazing, and I really do want to give those raw cacao treats a go. I'm not a huge sweet tooth (I drift from savoury to sweet and back to savoury again), but like to think there is an option that is both delicious and nutritious.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward seeing more and being inspired by your passion for good, healthy, delicious food. Thank you.
Truly inspirational Michelle!
